fictional_fansa follow up to my post about downloading photobucket embedded images without watermarks: i now have a video demonstration of how this works, if a visual aid is helpful for anyone to understand the process. it was kind of an oversight on my part to use flashing gif icons as part of the tutorial though, so if it's needed i'll record a new video with static icons. i hope someone finds this useful!

Date: 2023-07-25 06:34 pm (UTC)A question: some Photobucket previews have a default picture that says "Sorry, this picture is currently unavailable." Would it work with those? Or did Photobucket really nuke those pics, amd there is no hope of getting them back? (Some posts are over 10 years old, I would say that would be, sadly, inevitable.)
E.g.: this LJ post has a bunch of "unavailable" icons

Date: 2023-07-25 07:49 pm (UTC)also i think those icons are just gone sadly :( that or the icons ARE on photobucket but the account was made private, if i had to guess? either way they're unavailable which really sucks. best we can do is archive all the icons we can manage to archive ourselves
