Hi everyone! Your sort-of mod here.
It's been an interesting few days, hasn't it?
I've added a little more to the community description about why we're here and what we're for, but it shouldn't change anything, just clarify a little. The only guidelens are still anything related to any fandom is fine, and be excellent to each other. :D
I am also open for suggestions for things to add to the interests that will help people find us!
This community was originally created as part of an effort to make DW more understandable to people from Tumblr, so I want to encourage everyone to recommend it to their Tumblr friends as a universally welcoming, low-stakes place they can come to get comfortable with DW communities and how they work and what their possibilities are.
If you are somebody new to Dreamwidth, welcome! We are happy to have you. Please feel free to use this community as a place to try things and experiment and learn, we are happy to help and anything fandom-related goes. Our illustrious founder
staranise has posted Basic Dreamwidth for Tumblr Users, if you're feeling extra lost.
I'm also seeing a lot of really good content on personal journals in the last week or two, so here's your reminder you can post to this community to link to good fandom-related things you've posted elsewhere (it usually helps to include a description in the link post that will let people know exactly what's on the other end of the link, and why they should follow it.)
In that spirit, I just posted to my own journal about how to make a post on Dreamwidth that will get a lot of good discussion comments: How To Make Discussion Happen On DW
